June 2: my week on Instagram

Hello,
A little bit of a life update like I always do on these Sunday posts (which at the moment seem to be my only posts). A number of things happened this week
a) we are now officially in June (woohoo!!) for many people that means summer (I'm looking at you northern hemisphere people) but for me that means WINTER my favourite season. That may have something to do with the rain and the gumboots and the cold, but it also has to do with me being a little bit bias because there are now 19 days until my birthday (post series coming soon) and 6 day until church camp which brings me to section
b) I am going to spend a weekend camping in a shed in the cold, playing sport, eating good food and making new friends. Some of you are probably looking at me (maybe not literally) and thinking I am mad (which I am). It's called State Youth Games, during a long weekend youth groups from around Victoria (and sometimes Tasmania) get together, camp in the mud and the rain, play sport and enjoy each others company. It sounds a bit wacky but it's a lot of fun even if like me you are not that sporty or co-ordinated
c) I've been sick this week *sad face* which means I've had a lot of honey, ginger biscuits and vitamin-c tablets.
d) I have had soooooo many essay and assessments to write and to study for this week it's getting ridiculous but that's school for you less than 6 months to go (YAY!!!)
e) I was also out for dinner TWO nights in a row (what!?!?) we hardly ever 'eat out' though it was at other peoples houses so that does that really count as eating out? it does in my eyes. We were invited to two birthday dinner: one for a family friend and one for my cousin.
Busy, busy, busy little week it was.
(Woah that's a lot of writing)

Lets get on to the pictures
1. A picture of my favourite view in the city, straight down the path from the shrine of remembrance which was taken 2 maybe 3 weeks ago when dad and I were in the city and had time to kill so we went on a walk around the botanical gardens and the shrine

2. Rainy day picture. If you look close enough you can see me in the mirror.

3. One of the workers at the local coffee shop near my doctors remembered our orders: a large chai latte for me and a large latte for dad. It made us feel so special.

4. Here's what I wore on my date with YouTube of Friday night.

5. Warm milk and ginger biscuits for a sick little me

6. Itty-bitty cupcake thanks to my mama. She's brilliant.

Until next time,
Liana xx

PS I think you should follow me on Instagram
PPS also my YouTube date was with Marie bitsandclips, she is so inspiring and wonderful and optimistic no matter what is going on in her life plus her daughter is adorable.
PPPS also (again) birthday kitten *happy dance* more on that later

May 12: My week on Instagram

It's Sunday here, so I guess it's time for another Instagram post. Yay!!
It's also Mother's Day, so to all the mothers out there I hope you have a good day. (I am aware that it's not Mother's Day in most countries other than America and Australia but that doesn't stop them from having a good day).
It's been a pretty average week for me, not particularly good but not too bad. Here are some pictures:

1. Monday morning breakfast remains, eggs and toast before an 8am essay.

2. Watching T.V on Monday night with my brother and sister

3. I love autumn, and crunchy leaves.

4. Just before sunset.

5. Cute golden hair ribbons make me happy

6. I should really update Adobe flash player more often

7. Blue skies on Thursday. Waiting for day before going to the doctors.

8. My baby brother turned nine yesterday. Where have all those years gone? Looking super cute in the clothes I gave to him before church.

The plans for today are make breakfast for mum, clean up my room, do some maths homework and go to lunch with my mum's parents. Should be exciting. Ooohh and paint my nails.
Also I have just gotten into watching game of thrones (about a year or so late) and watched the entire first season on Saturday. Woops!?!

Until next time,
Liana xx

Feb 1: Don't cry over spilt... pasta?!?

So the past couple of days have been really full on, but first of all Happy February!!
Yesterday was my last first day of high school which was kind of scary but really awesome at the same time. I got lost a few times on my way to new class rooms and met some new people who have just transferred to my school, one of them being this really cute guy in my english class but shh.
I've already go homework and it's only been two days including a test on Monday, yay!

But right now I'm going to get stuck into the weekend.

But the real reason this post is going up today is because from about six last night to ten thirty which is like four hours!! We had no power which made cooking so hard but luckily we have a gas stove. We had about fifteen candles lit in our house including a few in my parents new en suite. We didn't burn the house down which is a good sign.
Cooking by Candlelight

But of course the first thing I did while cooking dinner was to take a picture of my sister cooking and put it on my instagram (at)lianam216

Today was also pretty dramatic. As last night we had issue with the power this morning was really rushed and I had to go to school without makeup on, not even mascara which is something I hardly ever do.
I had to look after my baby brother to night and while I was getting my dinner ready he accidentally dropped his bowl of pasta on the ground and spilt  it everywhere. He burst into tears and stood there crying. It was heart breaking. I felt terrible and it wasn't even my fault. Me and the dog cleaned up the mess and I made him more food (toast pizza) and everything was good.
It reminded me that sometimes we get worked up over little things, when say emotions are running high or you're hungry or tired, that are really not that big which not only has it had an effect on you but also people around you without you realizing.

Until next time,
Liana xx
